1. Introduction

Welcome to Calcula, powered by Oddbuddy ("we," "us," "our," or "Company"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our application. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices, including what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Calcula mobile application available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. By downloading and using Calcula, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Short Answer: We collect NO personal information about you.

2.1 What We Do NOT Collect

2.2 What Is Stored Locally On Your Device Only

Calculation Data: All calculations you perform in Calcula (expressions, results, and timestamps) are stored locally on your device only. This data is organized into notebooks and can be exported as .calc, .json, or .txt files.

User-Generated Sessions: When you create and save calculation sessions, including titles, descriptions, and custom notes, these are stored locally on your device only.

App Settings & Preferences: Your app settings (font scale, keyboard scale, thousand separator preference, haptic feedback toggle, auto-save settings, theme preference) are stored locally on your device only.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: We do not collect any device information whatsoever. Your device remains completely private.

Usage Analytics: Calcula does not collect, transmit, or store any usage analytics. We have no visibility into how you use the app.

Crash Reports: The app does not automatically transmit crash data. If the app crashes, this information remains on your device only.

Metadata: We do not collect timestamps, file access patterns, or any other metadata about your app usage.

2.4 Third-Party Services

Google Fonts: Calcula uses Google Fonts (DM Sans) to display text. When the font is loaded, Google may collect standard web log information (IP address, browser type, etc.). Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

File Sharing: When you use the share functionality to export sessions or results, you are sharing data through your device's native sharing system (email, messaging apps, cloud services, etc.). We are not responsible for how these third-party services handle your shared data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Enable you to perform calculations and store them in your history
• Organize your calculations into multiple notebooks
• Allow you to save, export, and load calculation sessions
• Preserve your preferences and settings
• Implement auto-save functionality for your convenience
• Provide real-time previews and display formatting
• Support undo/redo and calculation history features

4. Data Storage & Security

4.1 Local Storage

Primary Database: Your calculations are stored in a local SQLite database (Drift) on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.

Preferences Storage: Your settings are stored locally using Hive, a local key-value store on your device.

Session Files: Exported session files (.calc, .json, .txt) are saved in your device's file system and are under your complete control.

4.2 Security

Since Calcula stores all data locally on your device, data security depends on your device's security measures. We recommend:

• Keeping your operating system and apps updated
• Using device passcodes, PINs, or biometric authentication
• Being cautious when sharing exported session files
• Using encrypted email or messaging apps when sharing sensitive calculations

We do not transmit your calculation data to external servers, and therefore we do not have the ability to lose, breach, or misuse your data through our servers.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

5.1 We Do NOT Share Your Data

Calcula does not sell, rent, lease, or disclose your calculation data to third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose. Your data is yours alone.

5.2 Legal Obligations

Since Calcula does not collect, store, or have access to any personal information about you, there is no user data for us to disclose in response to legal requests, subpoenas, court orders, or government requests. We have nothing to provide because we collect nothing.

5.3 App Store Information

The app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) may collect aggregate, anonymized analytics about app downloads, crashes, and ratings. Please refer to their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

Your calculation data, notebooks, and session files are retained on your device indefinitely until you:

• Manually delete entries or notebooks from within the app
• Uninstall the application (which will remove the local database)
• Clear your device's app data or perform a factory reset

You have full control over your data and can delete it at any time.

7. Your Privacy Rights

7.1 Access Your Data

You can access all your calculation history, notebooks, and settings directly within the Calcula app at any time.

7.2 Export Your Data

You can export your calculation sessions in multiple formats (.calc, .json, .txt) for backup or portability.

7.3 Delete Your Data

You can delete individual calculations, entire notebooks, or all app data directly from the app settings. Uninstalling the app will also remove all associated data.

7.4 Right to Erasure

Since your data is stored only on your device and not on our servers, you have complete control over erasure. Deletion from your device is permanent.

8.1 GDPR (European Union & UK)

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to access your personal data
• Right to rectification (correction) of inaccurate data

Since Calcula processes data only locally on your device, you exercise these rights directly through the app's features.

• Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information

Calcula does not sell your personal information. All your data remains on your device.

9. Children's Privacy

Calcula does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The app is suitable for educational use by students and younger users, but we recommend parental guidance.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information immediately. If you believe a child has used Calcula, please contact us.

Calcula may allow you to share data through third-party services (email clients, messaging apps, cloud storage, etc.). This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing your data.

Since Calcula does not store data on our servers and processes everything locally on your device, the risk of a data breach on our end is minimized. However, if you believe your device has been compromised or your data has been accessed without authorization, please take appropriate security measures (update passwords, enable two-factor authentication on linked accounts, etc.) and contact us.

Calcula does not use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, or similar tracking technologies. The app does not track your location or device identifier.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the app or on our website.
